DR. YOGINI KALIJI

Dr. Yogini Kaliji is a celebrated yogini and the internationally renowned visionary founder of TriYoga®. She received her honorary degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Yogic Science (Yoga Acharya) from the Yoga University of the Americas, Bangalore, in 2023. Kaliji has traveled extensively to share TriYoga. Kaliji has given 64 keynote addresses, major presentations and in-depth programs at yoga conferences and other venues, and has been widely featured in the media. She was featured in the book Secrets of the World’s Inspirational Women, with photos of the women in the National Portrait Gallery in London. Kaliji has inspired two online platforms, KRIYA (established in 2011) and TY China Cloud (established in 2020), to provide regular online broadcasts in multiple languages on a variety of topics. Kaliji’s presence, her mastery of the flow and the ageless wisdom inherent in TriYoga have inspired and transformed countless lives.

Kaliji’s quest in yoga began at an early age; she would sit quietly in deep reflection, naturally drawn to self-inquiry and meditation. At age 24, yoga disciplines began to arise from within. In the tradition of ancient yoga, TriYoga is guided by kriyavati siddhi (prana-inspired yoga) as it flows through Kaliji. She has systematized asana, pranayama and dharana from Basics to Level 7, and over 1300 hasta mudras (hand gestures) and yoga knowledge have expressed through her. Kaliji has documented TriYoga Flows in encyclopedic teaching manuals, currently translated from English into Chinese, German, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish and Ukrainian. TriYoga, which includes the full range of yoga practices, is taught in 45 countries by more than 2700 certified teachers, and 56 TriYoga Centers have been established, including centers in Australia, Austria, China, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, India, South Korea, Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, Switzerland, Taiwan, Ukraine and the United States.

Kaliji is founder of Chant Club®, a music ensemble presenting Sanskrit chants in call-and-response style. She is a vocalist and plays harmonium. Kaliji has practiced the vegan, plant-based lifestyle for over 45 years.

Kaliji was conferred the title “Yogini” by Dr. H.H. Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji of Mysore, India. In 2006, in recognition of her global humanitarian service,  Datta Peetham honored her with the Vishwa Bandhu award. Kaliji serves on the executive boards of Datta Yoga Center, USA; Yoga Sangeeta; and SGS Datta Yoga Center, New Jersey.
